• 1. Correct tension is a major factor in the life of a track. It is important to maintain proper track tension as specified by the machine manufacturer. See general guidelines.
• 2. Good operating techniques by avoiding: spot turns, spinning, constant operation on slope, contact of the side of the tracks on curb lines, etc.
• 3. Maintenance: daily inspection of tracks and undercarriage to ensure everything is in good shape and replace if necessary.
• 4. Avoid abrasive material (scrap iron, broken stone, etc.), high heat, and corrosive chemicals (fuel, oil, salt). Daily cleaning is recommended.
